Since 2019, Double Barrel BBQ has been competing on the KCBS (Kansas City BBQ Society) circuit against some of the best teams in the world. In their first year, they experienced a steep learning curve, but still managed to take home their first-ever category 1st place finish in Brisket at Bikes, Boats, and Bones in Kimberling City, Missouri.

The following year, Double Barrel BBQ achieved their very first Grand Championship by winning Smokin on the Osage in Osceola, Missouri. They also qualified and competed in the KCBS World Invitational.

2021 started off with a bang, as Double Barrel BBQ won Grand Champion at the Ozarks BBQ Fest in Springfield, Missouri. They also earned multiple category wins, 700+ scores, and 180 scores, and qualified for the American Royal Invitational and their second KCBS World Invitational, placing in both. To top it off, they finished as the #20 Pork team in the world in the year-end KCBS standings!
